Transylvania 1998, part 1

May 7, 2011

My colleagues invited me to visit Transylvania with them in the spring of 1998. They went on ahead in the car and I caught up with them by train in Segesvár. That night we stopped in the village of Kápolnásfalu and though we were going to camp, a family invited us to stay in their home. The next day we parked the car in Homoródalmás and walked to a hut in the middle of nowhere to spend the night in the middle of nowhere. The photos were taken there. We lived mainly off pig fat (szalonna) which was an experience in itself, but I began to get used to it… While we were there we visited a farm and bought some cheese and polenta. (I had no idea what polenta was!)
